Fellowship and Development Coordinator
FTE: Part-Time 0.8 FTE
Reports to: Head of Frensham Schools through the Director of Marketing and Communications

The Fellowship and Development Coordinator is proactive in building effective, dynamic and long-term relationships between Frensham Schools and its community, locally, nationally and internationally. This includes Old Girls, current parents, past parents and friends of Frensham Schools.
In addition, the Fellowship and Development Coordinator will help direct the School’s alumni program, Frensham Fellowship, and provide executive support to the Frensham Fellowship Executive.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and supports the Development Manager in the philanthropic work of the School, supporting the fundraising program for Winifred West Schools Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for all Old Girls and Frensham’s alumni members, referred to as Fellowship, in their relationship with the School.
Under the guidance of the Development Manager the Fellowship and Development Coordinator will build and maintain relationships with Old Girls, Fellowship Members and the wider community through tailored communications, events and resources, to ensure positive advocacy for the School and an ongoing willingness to support the School.
This includes:
- With the support of Frensham Schools Coordinator of Events and Planning, effectively undertake the planning and management of Fellowship events, including sourcing presenters and speakers, sending informative communications, developing invitations, managing RSVPs and payment.
- Liaise with reunion Year Coordinators in planning and organising Old Girl reunions.
- Continue to develop a range of social and cultural programs of interest and benefit to Old Girls and Fellowship Members.
- Obtain feedback from stakeholders on the success of alumni programs, including financial management and reporting.
- Provide high level professional support for the Frensham Fellowship President, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Committee.
- Provide all support required for the Annual General Meeting of Frensham Fellowship.
- Effectively manage the Old Girl Scholarship process.
- Build links with current Frensham students and Senior School staff to ensure a seamless transition to becoming an Old Girl and nurture a ‘Culture of Giving’ with the leaving student body.
- Develop an effective mentoring program of mutual benefit to current and former students.
- Work as necessary on Old Girls’ associated activities around professional networking programs.
- Conduct school tours for Old Girls and Fellowship Members as required.
- Source and make available Fellowship Memorabilia and merchandise, online and on-site.
- Conduct a regular stocktake of memorabilia and merchandise to ensure supply is maintained.
- In collaboration with Frensham Schools Marketing and Communications Team, proactively source, coordinate, write and prepare content for School publications and Fellowship publications.
- Plan and manage the Fellowship content on the Frensham Schools website.
- Provide online services (for example Zoom) for Old Girls and Fellowship Members to enhance the School’s offering to these community members and develop ongoing improvement strategies.
- Accurately maintain the database of Old Girls and Fellowship Members.
- Support Frensham Schools Communications and Publications Associate to develop a comprehensive social media program for Old Girls and Fellowship Members
Winifred West Schools Foundation
Assist and support the Development Manager with the philanthropic activities of the School.
This includes:
- Coordination of the Livestock Enterprise Program.
- Coordination of the Foundation/donor database to support improved contact and liaison with donors and prospective donors.
- Coordination of the back-end processing of donations and communications with donors.
- Coordination of the Foundation presence on the School website.
- Provision of administrative support for fundraising activities and stewardship initiatives as directed by the Development Manager
- Other tasks and duties as directed by the Head or Director of Marketing and Communications.
Other duties
- Work collaboratively and collegially with the School’s archivist to research and report on profiles of specific Year groups and individuals.
- Work on specific projects as required from time to time, to support the School.
- Manage ad-hoc inquiries and requests from the wider Frensham Schools community.
- Comply with the School’s policies and procedures and health and safety standards.
- Undertake other duties as required by the Head of School.
The Ideal Candidate
- Outstanding relationship management skills, with the ability to develop effective and ongoing relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
- Degree in a relevant field of study (Marketing, Communications, Business, etc) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of discretion and sensitivity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, editing and proofreading skills.
- Advanced levels of computer literacy including database management and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience and ability in delivering innovative membership engagement programs, including online forums.
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Excellent time management and administration skills.
- Experience and/or a keen understanding of philanthropy, donors and bequests and relationship building.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a school environment.
- Ability to set goals and priorities, and work under minimal supervision.

Frensham Junior School (Gib Gate Campus) is seeking a dynamic and energetic Languages Teacher (LOTE) to join its team on a part time basis.
Gib Gate is the Preschool and Primary campus of Frensham Schools [Frensham Junior School, Frensham and Sturt]. Single stream and co-educational, Frensham Junior School has a highly experienced team of staff and is set on a magnificent campus of 10 acres with outstanding specialist facilities for core and extra-curricular teaching and learning.
Teachers at Frensham Junior School are fully engaged in the individual care and educational support of students, both in and out of the classroom. They are responsible for highly developed, differentiated programmes, ongoing, formative assessment and feedback and current best practice teaching and learning strategies.
The position would suit a recent graduate or an experienced teacher with proven success in teaching language, preferably to a range of P-6 classes. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and be committed to implementing contemporary pedagogical practices.
All teaching staff are committed to a professional learning programme focused on improvement in professional practice as part of a school-wide pursuit of excellence in teaching.
We work collaboratively to promote language and culture across the school and have a long-standing sister school arrangement with Hokuriku Gakuin Elementary School in Kanazawa, Japan, involving regular communications and a school tour programme first established in 1990.
Experience in Japanese will be highly regarded, although we are open to other languages.
