This is a rare opportunity for a qualified Early Childhood Educator (with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care) to be part of Gib Gate’s Preschool programme on a casual basis.

Gib Gate is the co-educational Preschool to Year 6 Primary School of Frensham Schools: Gib Gate, Frensham, Sturt. Single stream and co-educational, Gib Gate has a highly experienced team of staff and is set on a magnificent campus of 10 hectares, with outstanding specialist facilities for core and extra-curricular teaching and learning.

Gib Gate Preschool is a purpose-built facility positioned within the K-6 School Campus. The Preschool is a self-contained, light-filled, open plan facility. It encompasses three connected teaching spaces, a Visual Arts space, an office area, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The Preschool garden has been designed to encourage imaginative and constructive play.

SPORT COACHING – Part-time (0.3-0.4 FTE)

We are seeking skilled, enthusiastic Sports Coaches to join us from Term 3, 2018.

Led by our Head of Sport, the sport staff works collaboratively to deliver quality training programmes, games-day support and individualised instruction. Frensham is part of IGSSA (Independent Girls Schools Sports Association) and as such we compete in the following sports: Softball, Tennis, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Netball, Touch, Water Polo, Swimming, Athletics and Cross-Country. Expertise, including formal coaching qualifications in two or more of these sports, would be advantageous.

Sport at Frensham is well resourced. As well as extensive playing fields, indoor gymnasium, exercise area and outdoor hard courts, we also have an international standard hockey turf, 25m indoor heated swimming pool and internal 3km cross-country trail.

Frensham - Teacher of Design & Technology

TEACHER OF DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
with STE(A)M Focus


This exciting position is an opportunity for an outstanding educator to join Frensham in 2018 in an environment where harnessing ever-evolving and emergent technologies is extremely highly valued.

Led by our Director of Research and Innovation, Head of Visual Arts and Design and Senior Teacher in Innovation, Design and Technology, staff work collaboratively to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences that develop students as creative and flexible thinkers.

Technology [Years 7 & 8] is mandatory, and from 2018 a new Stage 5 Technology elective will be introduced. This new course, coupled with a high numbers of students selecting Design and Technology in the senior years, has led to the creation of this full-time role.

The Faculty and individual classrooms are well resourced. Our Design and Fabrication studios, located on the Sturt campus, accommodate our Design and Technology classes and feature high end computing, CNC routing, laser cutting and 3D printing. These facilities are supported by a full-time technical assistant. The Science and IT Centre, located adjacent to Sturt on the Frensham campus, supports Technology through blended science and technology programmes in Stage 5.

We are looking for an accomplished teacher of Stage 6 Design and Technology, with experience in digital design and fabrication. A willingness to incorporate all aspects of STE(A)M, including the creative arts, into the technology programme is essential. The successful applicant will have the capacity to facilitate innovative and adaptive approaches that allow students to experience the adventure of experiment and the excitement of breaking new ground.
