Foundation is extremely pleased to announce that the proceeds of Foundation’s Giving Day on Tuesday 20 September 2022 will support Educational Grants for both Frensham and Gib Gate students.

The application and selection process will take place in 2023. Advertising commenced in January, with five students to benefit from the Giving Day. All Educational Grants are means-tested, and the School will select:

• One Year 5 Gib Gate student, a boy or a girl, in 2024, 2025 and 2026 (three students in total), who will be supported from Year 5 to Year 6; and
• Two Year 7 Frensham Rural & Regional Boarders for intake in 2024, who will be supported from Year 7 to Year 12.

These five students will be the recipients of a ‘353 Grant’, with 353 recognising the total number of donors who helped to create these new Grants.

This Educational Grant will be life-changing for the children who benefit, because a Frensham Schools education will provide a range of opportunities that they otherwise would not have been able to access. Whenever Foundation’s donors see a reference to the 353 Grant, they will know that they were one of the donors who helped make this happen.

These outcomes really are testament to the power of philanthropy to create transformational change. As each of these students begins their journey through school and beyond, the impact of the support of our donors will be felt for years to come.

Applications for the 353 Grants at Frensham and Gib Gate will open shortly, and testing for the Frensham Grants will take place on Saturday 6 May, 2023
