The Thomas Lawson Scholarship

Annual Scholarship for students entering Year 7

Frensham Schools recently established The Thomas Lawson Scholarship, with funds made available from the Bequest of past parent and grandparent, Selma Lawson, in memory of her husband, Thomas Lawson.

Selma fully appreciated the benefits of a Frensham education—she was a great supporter of the aims of the School and its success in achieving them.

This is a perpetual, means-tested Scholarship, for true All-Rounder students. It is for girls entering Year 7 at Frensham, with first students commencing in 2023.

Foundation can guarantee students from rural Australia an opportunity to experience the exceptional advantages of a Frensham education. The recipients demonstrate a strong capacity for involvement, the pursuit of excellence, and the heartfelt willingness to contribute to the welfare of others.

Parents (or guardians) of the recipient are also committed fully to the ideals of Frensham.

We inform the families at the time of granting that the Scholarship is provided from funds bequeathed from the estate of Mrs Selma Lawson, in memory of her husband, Thomas Lawson.

The Thomas Lawson Scholarship is offered every year.
