New Fundraising Initiative

New Fundraising Initiative

ONLY SIX WEEKS TO GO!

It is only six weeks until the announcement of one of Foundation’s biggest ever fundraising initiatives. More details to come closer to the day, but we can let you know that this year, we are going to change one person’s life forever.

Every single person in the Frensham Schools community can be part of this initiative – small or large, every gift will make a difference!

THE LIVESTOCK ENTERPRISE

In the meantime, one of our longstanding fundraising programmes, the Livestock Enterprise, has been re-energised.

For many years, the prolonged drought had taken its toll. Finally, between 2020 and 2022 we saw the drought breaking and farmers working to re-stock.

The Livestock Enterprise is a fantastic programme to be part of, and quite simple:

  • ‘Host’ farming families take a minimum number of stock – 5 cattle or 25 sheep.
  • Foundation pays for the stock. Donations of stock are also gratefully received; as well as cash donations from our non-farming families to help buy the stock.
  • The stock is managed by the Host in the normal course of their business.
  • All transactions are processed by Jim Hindmarsh & Son who generously support Foundation, charging no commission.
  • The proceeds of sale are then returned to Foundation.

Historically, this has been a very successful model providing extraordinary returns, often 50% - 100%.

If you would like to know more about how you can become involved in the Livestock Enterprise, please contact Ms Jackie Dalton, Director of Philanthropy at Frensham Schools.
