Expression through the Arts

Frensham has always nurtured the arts; they are an integral part of the fabric of the School. Whether it be in the performing arts (Music and Drama), art and design or writing, students are actively involved in creating and producing in a range of forms to express their unique and personal views about the world.

• Frensham Madrigals are competing annually in the Sydney Eisteddfod. In May 2022, they won the Youth Vocal Ensemble section, and invited back to compete for the John Lamble Foundation Australasian Championship for Youth Choir (19/u), which they also won. In 2021, the Madrigals won both the John Lamble Foundation Australasian Championship for Youth Choir (19/u), as well as the Open Primary Choir.
• A Year 12 student was selected for the Art Gallery of NSW ARTEXPRESS exhibition 2023
• In 2022, a Year 12 student was awarded the University of NSW English ICAS Medal for second year in a row, having received the 2021 NSW Year 11 English ICAS Medal.
